Boston, MA – June 9, 2025 – NWN, the leading provider of AI-powered technology solutions, today announced the official launch of its Federal Practice, NWN Federal. This follows NWN’s strategic acquisition of Leverage Information Systems in September and marks a significant milestone in NWN’s expansion into the public sector. The move highlights the company’s deepening commitment to serving the mission-critical needs of U.S. federal agencies, including NASA, DoE, and the Navy.

As part of this expansion, NWN has promoted Nabil Amiri to Vice President of Business Development for the Federal Practice. With over 10 years of experience in federal IT and business development, Nabil will lead strategic initiatives to align NWN’s services with the unique digital modernization requirements of federal agencies.

The newly launched Federal Practice brings together 30 years of expertise in AI-powered automation, Zero Trust cybersecurity architecture, and full-stack visibility across the IT infrastructure. NWN Federal’s service portfolio is built to reduce technical debt, improve performance, and support federal agencies in modernizing legacy systems.

With federal IT modernization funding down 34%, agencies are being challenged to do more with less—managing operations under constrained budgets while meeting growing demands for secure and efficient digital services. NWN Federal addresses this by helping agencies use pre-negotiated contracts for easier purchase and by offering programs for financing that helps reduce technical debt.

NWN Federal’s Zero Trust Assessment identifies weaknesses in current cybersecurity frameworks and delivers practical mitigation strategies aligned with federal mandates. They also offer Federal agencies an SD-WAN Network and Carrier Assessment to help improve network performance, simplify management, and reduce costs.

A Federal AI Advisory Service is on the roadmap to guide agencies in the responsible and mission-aligned adoption of AI technologies.

“These are the capabilities federal CIOs need now to align IT investments with mission outcomes,” said NWN CEO Jim Sullivan. “Our roadmap reflects what’s on the horizon for federal agencies, designed to anticipate emerging needs before they become mandates.”
