Latest Innovation! NWN Launches AiVA AI Assistants and Managed DEX
(Baltimore, MD) – The Greenmount Recreation Center, serving hundreds of youths and seniors in the city of Baltimore, will launch a new class at its successful AI Computer Resource Lab in January 2026.
The AI Computer Resource Lab was founded and funded by NWN, a leading AI-powered Technology Solutions Provider, and Intel in August 2025 with a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrated by Mayor Brandon Scott and other city leaders. The lab was designed to teach Greenmount residents how to best harness the power of AI (artificial intelligence) for educational and professional advancement. The lab is equipped with the fastest and most intelligent AI PCs from HP, powered by Intel and managed by NWN to serve thousands of residents in the community.
The Greenmount Recreation Center received nearly 300 applications for the program within the first 48 hours of opening. The first class of students will graduate from the AI computer program in January before the second class begins.
“Our students are doing exceptionally well. Every participant is fully engaged and consistently exceeding expectations,” said Jarell Johnson, Chief Information Officer, Greenmount Recreation Center. “The interest from the community has been overwhelming in the best way. This life changing program would not be possible without NWN and Intel.”
”We’re proud to continue our long standing and strong partnership with the City of Baltimore by helping to create this much needed program with Jarrell Johnson and his team at the Greenmount Recreation Center,” said Andrew Gilman, Chief Marketing Officer, NWN. “It’s inspiring to see how both students and adults have learned and understand how artificial intelligence can help them achieve their goals in the classroom and in the community.”
By investing in digital inclusion, workforce development, and student engagement, NWN and Intel hope to create a more vibrant, resilient, and prosperous future for all residents of Baltimore.
