As I reflect on my time at the recent AJCU conference in Chestnut Hill last week, I am struck by the sense of community and collaboration that permeated the event. As the Chief Marketing Officer of NWN, I had the privilege of attending the conference and meeting with CIOs from across the AJCU, including Central American colleges. I want to thank the organizers including John Berardi, Joe Harrington, and Mike Bourque for their leadership, and for the opportunity to partner with them on this year’s annual meeting.
One of the key themes that emerged from the conference was the importance of leveraging technology to create an exceptional experience for students, faculty, and administration. It was clear that everyone in attendance was passionate about exploring new ways to enhance teaching and learning. And I was excited to share NWN’s expertise in this area, including the technology services we provide for over 250 educational institutions across North America.
During the conference it was inspiring to hear about the innovative ways they are using technology to improve student outcomes. For example, one university has implemented an advanced campus wide wireless network to enhance student engagement in the classroom, while another is exploring an AI-powered chatbot to provide students with personalized support and resources.
At NWN, we are committed to helping educational institutions like the AJCU membership stay ahead of the curve when it comes to technology. Our comprehensive suite of technology services is designed to support schools in their mission to provide an exceptional learning experience for their students.
One of the highlights of the conference for me was the opportunity to discuss NWN’s work among the AJCU community. Our work with Boston College, both on and off the field, has helped the university enhance its campus experience for students, faculty, and staff with a new Unified Communications platform. We’ve also had the privilege of partnering with other 9 other Jesuit universities across North America, empowering them to achieve their goals through cutting-edge technology solutions.
Some of the technology focus areas we’ve been working on with our AJCU partners include:
Campus wireless and telecom infrastructure: We’ve helped universities build robust and secure wireless and telecom infrastructure, enabling students, faculty, and staff to stay connected and engaged, both on and off campus.
Managed devices and endpoints: Our managed services help universities ensure that all devices and endpoints are secure, up-to-date, and functioning optimally.
Cybersecurity services: We’ve worked closely with universities to implement robust cybersecurity measures, protecting sensitive data and ensuring the safety of the entire campus community.
Contact centers and public safety systems: We’ve helped universities build and maintain state-of-the-art contact centers and public safety systems, ensuring that students, faculty, and staff have access to the support and resources they need.
Unified communications and visual collaboration: Our unified communications solutions have helped universities foster collaboration and engagement among students, faculty, and staff, while our visual collaboration tools have enhanced the learning experience for students and faculty.
As I left the conference, I felt energized and inspired by the passion and dedication of the IT leaders in attendance. It’s clear that the AJCU community is committed to leveraging technology to create an outstanding experience for their students, and NWN is proud to be a part of that journey.
