Celebrating Excellence: Women of the Year Finalist

Krista Grande, a finalist for CRN’s prestigious Women of the Year award, is more than a tech leader – she’s a force of nature in innovation, driven by curiosity, fueled by creativity, and grounded in a deep commitment to those she supports.

“I never stop reading and learning and growing,” Krista shares. “I’ll always be the first to beta something new—I love seeing how things work.” That curiosity isn’t just a trait – it’s her superpower. Whether she’s diving into a new platform or reimagining a process, Krista leads with a mindset that’s always asking, what’s next?

Her leadership style is rooted in evolution and empathy, inspired by her father, a beloved university leader known for his kindness and infectious chuckle. Krista learned early on that meaningful change starts with genuine care. “You can deliver any message as long as they know you truly care and want to make things better,” she says.

Krista defines leadership as a constant pursuit of improvement. “We can’t live in the now. We have to live in the what’s next,” she explains. Her approach is both strategic and human-centered, always asking: Is this as good as it gets? If not, how can we influence change?

To young women navigating their own paths in tech, Krista offers empowering advice: “Look for the people that will raise you up. If you aren’t learning new skills from those around you, move to a new position or take on that learning yourself.” Her career is a testament to the power of self-driven growth and the importance of surrounding yourself with those who challenge and uplift you.

Krista’s creativity is fueled by connection “If you don’t have relationships with the people you support, then you will never know what they need,” she says. Her solutions are born from listening, shaped by empathy, and executed with innovation.

Her legacy? A mindset. “WWKG do?”—What would Krista Grande do?—a phrase coined by a former team member and still used today. It’s a reminder that there’s always a Plan B, always a more creative option.

And just for fun: while Krista is known as a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, few realize she’s also a musician who once played the baroque recorder at her mom’s church. “How’s that for random?” she laughs – a perfect snapshot of her charm and authenticity.

Krista Grande’s story is one of curiosity, courage, and compassion. She’s not just shaping the future of tech – she’s inspring a new generation to lead with heart, think boldy, and never stop asking what’s next?
